ABOUT ME

My Name is Jay Henneberry

I had chosen the name Scribed in Sprit because, all of my writing is created by the sprit of my deceased biological father who in his time, was a dedicated and successful playwright.

It is by his hand that mine is guided across the page, each letter is burnt on to the paper, by his energy that flows through my veins, and each word a continuation of his legacy, by which it is my duty to carry on for the remainder of my existence.

The raven is not only the carrier of my sprit, but the eyes in which I observe the world around me.

The dragon fly reminds me, just how lucky I am, to be one who only carries a burden, who's purpose is to take the words and use them to connect with the world around him.

And finally the dove is there to teach me to find peace in chaos of my mind, so that perhaps one day, I can teach the world that even in charred remains of an inferno, the flowers can some day raise again to greet the sunshine.

When I was a teenager, a friend and had I decided to start a band. Fortunately, this idea had never actually got off the ground, as neither one of us knew how to sing or play any instruments and all I was left with was a scribbler full of horribly written rock songs.

Although I clearly had no future as a front man, I did begin to develop a passion for writing, which over time has helped me get through some of the most difficult times in my life.

Currently I am a retired Naval Shift cook and am taking business administration at NSCC.

I have a ten year old son with special needs who teaches me everyday, not to allow your life to be held back by limitations, and a wonderful wife of twelve years, who may often drive me crazy, but also makes a better person.

.

I created this page, in the hope that I may use my writing  to not only connect with people far beyond my reach, but to potentially inspire them and give them the courage to over come any and obstacle's they may be facing.
